FEAR(S) OF THE DARK

a film by Blutch, Charles Burns, Marie Caillou, Pierre di Sciullo, Jerry Kramsky, Lorenzo Mattotti, Richard McGuire, Michel Pirus, Romain Slocombe
produced by Prima Linea Productions
co-produced by Def2shoot, Denis Friedman Productions, La Parti Production
French release : Ferbruary 2008

85 min. – 2K – 1:85 – Dolby Digital

Mission of the studio : preparation and production of the entire 2D image of the film.

THE MAN IN THE BLUE GORDINI

a film by Jean-Christophe Lie
produced by Prima Linea Productions
co-produced by Dingo, Piste Rouge
French release : 2009

10 min. – 2K – 1:85 – Dolby Digital

Mission of the studio : preparation and production of the entire 2D image of the film.

The absurd and the idiotic, with a libertarian impetus aiming at the overthrow of social codes and values, here are the main characteristics of this story. A kind of splash to the face of conventions and propriety. To provoke against the grain, a bit as if one wandered in shorts through a nudist village, not by sense of decency, but simply by desire to be different.
But the subject of this story is not to criticize either the nudists or the emancipation of the Seventies, although…
The most important for the main characters, is to break themselves of any form of standardization, whether liberal, ideological, moral, or linked to tastes or fashion.

Under a baobab tree, an old man tells a story to the children around him: The story of the everlasting friendship between Maki, a little boy aged 10, and Zarafa, an orphaned giraffe, a gift from the Pasha of Egypt to the King of France, Charles X.
Hassan, Prince of the Desert, is instructed by the Pasha to deliver Zarafa to France. But Maki has made up his mind to do everything in his power to stop Hassan from fulfilling his mission and to bring the giraffe back to its native land – even if it means risking his own life – because he must fulfill his promise to Zarafa’s late mother.
During an epic journey that takes them from Sudan to Paris, passing on the way through Alexandria, Marseille and the snow-capped Alps, they have many adventures, crossing paths with the aviator Malaterre, a pair of unusual twin cows called Mounh and Sounh, and the pirate queen Bouboulina.

ONCE UPON TIME, OR MAYBE NOT

ONCE UPON TIME, OR MAYBE NOT

a TV film by Charles Nemes

produced by Endemol
French diffusion : 2011

96 min.

Mission of the studio : preparation and production of the 2D animated sequences of the film

When she returns to her native south-west of France to sell her family home, Sheila Spanghetto finds her little village of Ovalie untouched since she left for Paris 15 years ago. The men live for the ‘third-half’ of rugby – leaving their women to the burden of running all the domestic affairs.
Sheila is not the sort to put up with this nonsense: she won’t submit to the first scrum she faces and plans to turn over the situation. With pressure from the village women, who invest their hope in her, and with the help of local legend Granny Spanghetto (who makes the knees of the stoutest prop tremble), Sheila will take on the men, in their own ground.
Following a legendary match, life will never be the same again in the peaceful little village of Ovalie…
